Hello and welcome to my website. My name’s Mary. My husband and I have three daughters ages eight, ten, and thirteen. All three of our girls play softball through our local Department of Recreation. We have found our girls have gained confidence and are extremely physically fit as a result of playing this sport. I never played softball, so it’s been a learning experience for me. We have to purchase softball gloves, cleats, bats, balls, and more. I felt like a fish out of water the first few times we entered the sporting goods store. The reason I’m writing this is to share much of what I’ve learned. I’m going to share some safety tips, about the benefits girls reap when playing softball, how to support help support your daughters especially when they lose, and a bit about the equipment.
